Here is how she answered our questions.

1.How did an idea for this book came to you?

The first moment that sparked my desire to write this book was during a workshop on career coaching. One of the participants asked me this all important question. “Why do students most often fail to get hired by their desired company or find suitable job placements, despite having prepared for the interview?”

2.At what age did you start writing?

I started to write at the age of 23, soon after the completion of my master’s degree in English and American literature. I would choose a particular topic and write a summary. I remained motivated to one day write a book.

3.Is this your first book?

This is my first book.

4.What is the concept in ‘The Empowered Employee‘ about?

To leave the reader with an understanding on how to face complex challenges and succeed at all costs.

5.Why did you name your book as ‘The Empowered Employee‘?

The title “The Empowered Employee” was chosen to empower the reader to adopt a step-by-step approach to get their first job or even carry out a successful career shift by following powerful and smart strategies. This book focuses on the important question about the employer’s expectations from a potential employee.

6. What do you think is more important- the words used or the feelings?

A combination of both, feelings draw emotions and words interest the mind.

7.Is there a particular time of the day when you write your ideas? When?

When I began to write, I would start at the stroke of midnight and continue up until 4 A.M. Now I am able to write as effectively during the day as well.

8.Just like you are an inspiration to others, who is/are your inspiration?

I have been inspired by a close friend, an avid reader, poet and writer, who always complimented my writing style and motivated me to take the initiative to write and publish this book and my mother, a strong and resolute person, who encouraged me every step of the way to accomplish this dream.

9.What do you consider to be your biggest accomplishment?

So far, my biggest accomplishment has been to write and publish this book.

A Horror Fiction.

Self-help is my favourite genre. The books encourage readers to develop a strong sense of belief and explore their potential.

18.Which genre, according to you, is the most difficult to write?

I admire every genre of writing. It all depends on the skill and interest of the writer. The level of hard work and commitment is the same.

19.Are you working on your next? What is it about?

My next book is on human values, written in the form of inspiring short stories. This is an attempt to encourage young readers, to develop a sense of right behaviour, from an early age.

I would sum it up in the words of Epictetus, Greek sage and philosopher, “ If you wish to be a writer, write”

Thank you so much, for choosing me as one of your Authors, to be interviewed in this highly, admirable forum of notable writers.
