1. Tell us something about yourself.
I am 43 years young married to my soulmate with two beautiful kids, a boy and a girl, aged 10yrs and 11yrs respectively. Graduated in Electronics engineering with a post graduate in MBA finance from UK. Currently working as a VP – Marketing 7 Strategic Alliances for a travel retail firm. I found my passion in natural healing modalities and the mystical sciences. I am an outdoor guy, love to go for treks, fitness enthusiast, nature lover, lover of music and play the acoustic guitar and tabla. My mantra in life is take life lightly that is ENLIGHTENMENT.
2. What compelled you to write this book?
There was always a deep longing to put my life experiences and learnings to reach out to as many beautiful souls as possible. COVID acted as a catalyst for me to pen this book down. There is too much of negativity in the world and most of us are hardwired to it! It’s high time we start operating from a place of Love rather than Fear. Hope my journey outlined in the book make people rethink on how to live their life and enjoy their journey.
3. From how long have you been writing this book? What challenges did you face while writing?
I have been writing this book for 4 to 5 months. The content came seamlessly to my head and in a logical flow. It was like I was being guided by an invisible intelligence. The book made me revisit dark phases of my life which I had pushed underneath the rug. It was time to confront them and writing this book become extremely therapeutic for me.
4. What is the most memorable moment for you throughout the journey of the book?
The most memorable moment for me throughout the journey of the book has been the journey itself, seeing the book taking form, just like a baby being born. It has been the most satisfying and fulfilling experience of my life.
5. Is writing your hobby or passion?
I personally don’t like the word ‘hobby’. I just wanted to put my learnings out there in the universe and I just felt driven to do it. The act of writing this book was purely born out of passion.
6. Are you planning to write again?
Who knows what the future holds? If there comes a time in the near future and I feel that I need to write something I will do it. I am not much of a planner in these things, sometimes beautiful things come out in life on an impromptu basis.
7. Do you believe that when author dies a reader is born?
If I understand this question clearly do you mean to say the book becomes famous when the author dies? Maybe this would have been the case in the earlier days but in today’s digital age and social media influence, the readers want to interact with authors and engage.
8. For you, what is literary success?
For me, literary success would be if my book could create a positive impact for my readers and the book reaches in the hands of as many souls as possible.
9. Do you have any piece of advice for the budding authors out there?
My only advice would be that if you have content that you feel can bring happiness, joy, entertainment, insights to readers across the world share and publish your work. Believe in yourself!
