Maneevak is an author of Mined Bits.

Here is how he answered our questions.

1.How does an idea come for a story come to you?

I have seen micro-tales gaining immense popularity in the recent times, especially on social media.I thought that I could write them too… So I penned down a lot of thoughts relating to the daily lives of people, and converted them into micro-tales.

2.At what age did you start writing?

16. I’m 17 now.

3.Is this your first book?

Yes, kind of.Well, I had put a few stories on kindle once and then removed them later.

4.What is the story in ‘Minced Bits’ about?

Its a collection of micro tales on different topics. So each tale is around 20-50 words.

5.Why did you name your book as ‘Mined Bits’?

I named it ‘Minced Bits’ because it is a collection of very short pieces of stories.

6.What do you think is more important- the words used or the feelings?

Both are very important. Nobody wants to read a book with incorrect language! Words used should be simple, yet effective.Feelings in the books are the reason why people read them! So yeah, both of them are very important.

7.Is there a particular time of the day when you write your ideas?

When?Nope. There isn’t. As soon as an idea comes to my mind, I try to note it down somewhere, and then execute it later.

8.Just like you are an inspiration to others, who is/are your inspiration?

Oh that’s too much! I’m not an inspiration yet.My inspiration? Too many to list here.

9.They say, “Nobody can judge you, as much as you yourself can.” Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

Often things don’t turn out to be how they were planned. Destiny takes its own path. So, let the time tell.

10.What would you do if you weren’t into writing?

See, I’m not ‘into’ much of writing. I’m not a full time writer. I love to try new and different things.I’m a class 12 student. So I’ve boards on the plate this year.I’ve also made a few iOS apps.

11.How do you react to the reviews that you get about your writing from your readers?

As the book isn’t out, I’m yet to get any review. But, I’ll definitely take all genuine criticism positively.

12.List any 3 books that you would recommend to our readers.

Predictably Irrational, Reasons to Stay Alive & The Secret.
